"For me, art is first and foremost a search - a way of navigating and processing life's experiences. It is my sanctuary, a space where I possess absolute freedom to express myself without limits.

My creative process is rooted in a constant dialogue with various media, including photography, collage, painting, writing, and printmaking. I am drawn to exploring the boundaries between these disciplines; for instance, I might construct a physical object using cotton wool, glue, and paint, only to grant it new life and interpretation through the lens of a camera.

I find deep interest in the transformation of raw materials,

processing them in diverse and evolving ways. This is an organic process of experimentation: at times, the material leads me toward unexpected directions, and at others, when it does not yield the answers I seek, I pivot to a new exploration. This continuous search is the very heart of my practice."

About

Liron Alfa is a multidisciplinary plastic artist whose work bridges the worlds of photography, design, and fine art. Her formal education began in the early 90s with studies in painting, sculpture, and goldsmithing, followed by a four-year program in Visual Communication at Ascula in Tel Aviv.

In 2002, Liron was selected for the prestigious "Fifth Year" continuing education program at the CCA Tel Aviv-Yafo. As a full scholarship recipient, she was granted a studio space and held her first major solo exhibition, "Protected Space," curated by Gilad Ophir and Rivka Potchebutzky. This period was a formative milestone in her transition from graphic designer and photographer to a more expansive, boundary-breaking visual vocabulary.

Throughout her career, Liron has developed a practice that centers on a multimedia approach. She weaves together photography, collage, sculpture, and painting to transform personal and emotional experiences into tangible visual works. Her work has been showcased in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Israel and internationally, including the Tel Aviv Artists’ House, Gros Gallery, and juried exhibitions in New York.

In recent years, Liron has deepened her exploration of art as a therapeutic and communal tool. In 2019, she trained in PHOTO IS: VOICE, focusing on photography as a therapeutic medium. This was followed by a 2023 Artist Residency with the Rehovot Municipality, where she engaged with the local community, worked in a printmaking workshop, and presented her solo exhibition "Biometric Stamp" at the Rehovot Art Gallery.

Today, Liron views art as a vital way of being-an expression without limits. She continues to create from her unique perspective, seeking to produce works that resonate deeply with viewers through their multilayered materiality and raw emotion.
